On 22 July 2011, we warmly invite you, along with your family and friends, to the first joint summer festival organised by Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences and the town of Illertissen at Vöhlin Castle. Whether it’s education at the University Centre, history at the Local History Museum or music in the Baroque Hall – our programme is as varied as the castle’s many uses.

At 2 pm, we will welcome you with music from the wind ensemble of the Kempten University of Applied Sciences Big Band. Throughout the day, we are offering guided tours of the town of Illertissen, the local history museum and the university centre, including an exhibition by the artist Hatice Keten. For your children, the carers at the ‘Kinderinsel’ have prepared a programme of crafts and face painting from 2 pm to 7 pm.

For refreshments, we’ll be serving regional Bavarian specialities and vegetarian options, as well as coffee, hot chocolate and chai lattes, all served at our mobile Café Röst-Bar.

From 7 pm, the cocktail bar in the castle courtyard will open. The HNU band will play a mix of rock and pop cover songs, after which the party will continue.
