Once again this year, the University Centre is taking part in Open Monument Day, which this time has the nationwide theme ‘NetzWERKE: Monuments & Infrastructure’.

How fitting, because: as a hub for networking, we are committed to expanding and deepening cooperation between Bavarian and Swabian universities, bringing students together with businesses, and fostering mutual exchange between academia, society and industry.

On 13th September 2026, the Vöhlin Castle will be open from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Interested visitors can take part in a guided tour, explore the site at their own, or settle into comfortable beanbags in our ‘audio cinema’ to listen to the eventful history of the prominent Vöhlin merchant family.

Of course, we will also be providing information about the three universities and showcasing outstanding practical projects in a poster exhibition, which impressively demonstrate the links between regional academia and business.
