Parking

There are 30 parking spaces available directly next to the Seminar Centre in front of "Hotel am Schloss" and 50 additional parking spaces in the car park “Vöhlinschloss”. Parking is also permitted on Schlossallee (only facing uphill and on the right!) and Vöhlinstrasse. There are additional parking spaces in the town centre in the car park “Schranne/Rathaus”. Cars are not permitted to drive into the Castle courtyard, with the exception of disabled persons and suppliers.

Arriving by public transportation

Illertissen can be reached by regional train from Ulm, Neu-Ulm and Kempten stations. Castle Vöhlin Seminar Centre can be reached by bus from the train station with the bus line 920. The nearest stop is Schlossallee stop. From there, it is approximately a 300-meter walk. Walking from the train station to the Castle takes 15 minutes. On school days from November to March, the bus line 701 runs from the Illertissen train station to Schlossallee. (Departs 7:20 a.m., arrives 7:32 a.m.). Students of University of Applied Sciences, Neu-Ulm, Augsburg und Kempten and  can use public transportation free of charge with their semester ticket or Deutschlandticket.

Arriving by car

A7 motorway Würzburg/Kempten: Take the Illertissen exit and leave the roundabout at the ‘Zentrum, Vöhlinschloss, Museen’ exit (signposted). Turn left at the next junction and then immediately right into Schlossallee.
State road 2031: Turn towards the town hall at the Hirschkreuzung junction, then continue uphill to the next junction and turn right (U-turn) into Schlossallee.
